If you’ve been following the Pokemon Company, you would have noticed that they always create the most exciting Pokemon games. Pokemon Quest is no different, as the producers went all in to create the perfect mobile game. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, Pokémon Quest is one action-adventure game in the Pokémon series that you don’t want to miss out on as a fan of the Pokemon games. The game is free-to-play and was initially released in May 2018 for the Nintendo Switch. In June of the same year, it became available for Android and iOS devices.

Pokemon Quest Brings Back All Our Favorite Characters

Pokémon Quest has a unique blocky, voxel-style design that is much similar to Minecraft. The game design has a way of immersing you in a whole new world with an unending promise of action and adventures. Pokemon Quest takes place in a beautiful place called Tumblecube Island. On this island, some cube-shaped Pokémon called “Pokéxel” can be seen roaming around. The most exciting part of the game is that it features all our favorite Pokémon from the original lineup in Pokémon Red and Blue, which was set in the Kanto region. When playing in Pokemon Quest, you get to control both the base camp and your Pokémon team. Your main goal is to complete all the levels on the island by defeating the wild Pokémon.

Pokemon Quest Features Four Amazing Gaming Processes

One of the most amazing things about Pokemon Quest’s gameplay is that it has this beautifully designed process that makes you complete levels in such a sane and organized manner. The processes are divided into four parts, namely base camp management, going on expeditions, training and optimizing your Pokémon and attracting new Pokémon. Each of these processes has its unique aims, and are all critical in helping you achieve your objectives.

In base camp management, you must ensure that your base camp is well-equipped to help you in your adventure. You can build new items, cook food to attract new Pokémon and manage your team’s resources. This process is critical to your overall success in the game, as it represents your planning point. You can also set up decorations for different effects to make the place look more attractive and welcoming for any new Pokémon that visit the campsite. They can only visit once every 22 hours, which means you must do all you can to attract them to your campsite.

As a feature of the base camp management, you can also visit the Poké Mart, where you can buy DLC Packs, Decorations, and Box Expansions. You can also claim 50 PM Tickets (the game’s currency). The PM Tickets are used to purchase Decorations and Box Expansions, as well as to instantly complete a dish and recharge the energy for Expeditions.

The Expedition Process Features the Biggest Adventure

Going on expeditions is where the real action happens. You get to explore different areas on Tumblecube Island and battle wild Pokémon. Although the battles can be challenging, you can always use your strategy and skills to overcome any obstacles in your way.

To rid the island of wild Pokémon, you must progress through 12 different locations, each consisting of 3 to 7 levels. According to the rules, you are permitted to bring up to three Pokémon with you for each level. Thankfully, the Pokemon have other abilities beyond attacks. They also have special moves, depending on the Pokemon you selected. This variety is because there are well over 100 unique moves available, and each of your Pokémon has access to between 2 and 11 special moves from the list. However, you should note that after using a special move, your Pokémon must wait for a few seconds (depending on the move used) in order to restore its move. During this time, it can only use normal attacks.

You Can Make Your Pokemon Stronger Through Training

Training and optimizing your Pokémon is the easiest way to make your Pokemon stronger when fighting wild Pokemon. You can level up your Pokémon, teach them new moves, and equip them with different power stones to enhance their abilities. They can also learn new skills during expeditions, but training gives players more assurance. To level up your Pokemon in Pokemon Quest, you can train them with other Pokemon. During training, you’ll use the other Pokemon to gain experience, and once the training is complete, the support Pokemon will leave.

You can also train your Pokemon to replace their current moves by using other Pokemon as support. To increase your chances of successfully changing a move, it’s best to use the same species or the same type of Pokemon as the support Pokemon. However, keep in mind that the experience gained and the chances of changing the move set will decrease after every training session done on the Pokemon. So, choose your support Pokemon wisely to level up your Pokemon efficiently.

Attracting a New Pokemon Requires Wisdom and Strategy

Attracting new Pokémon is a fun way to expand your team. First, you get new characters to join your adventure, and you also get to make your team stronger. One of the easiest ways to attract a Pokemon to your camp is by creating recipes. However, the process is not that straightforward. For instance, you must create recipes using the ingredients you earn by completing expeditions.

If you end up with a Pokemon of the wrong species, Bingo Bonus, or move layout, you’ll have to go back out on an adventure to re-earn those ingredients and try again. However, finally catching that perfect Pokemon with tons of potential always gives a rush of excitement. Half the battle is knowing how to do this efficiently without wasting time and resources, as Pokemon Quest doesn’t provide much information to help you succeed.

Conclusion

One sure thing about Pokemon games is that they are always ready to provide you with so much fun and adventure. The game is fun for both old and new players and has so much replay value that it always feels like the first time each time you play it. If you’re looking for something exciting to keep you engaged throughout the weekend, or you need to sharpen your mobile gaming skills, Pokemon Quest is the perfect game for you.
