If you are thinking of a game that seems literally endless, the Temple Run 2 3D game is your best guess. The game is developed by Imangi Studios and features endless running by your character. It depicts the survival quest of your player who is running from demon characters. The developers released the game on August 4, 2011, for iOS devices but later released Android and Windows Phone 8 versions.

The game recorded huge commercial success, which pushed the developers to develop the second version of the game, Temple Run 2. Subsequently, Imangi Studios partnered with Disney to develop Temple Run: Brave, Temple Run: Oz, and Temple Run: Treasure Hunters. Many other games have imitated the branding and gameplay of Temple Run due to its massive acceptance from users.

Gameplay

The story follows an explorer that went on an adventure to retrieve an ancient idol from an Aztec temple. In the game, you can choose from a list of characters you want to use. After stealing the valuable idol, the running task begins. Ignorant of the presence of demonic monkeys, the explorer is chased by the demons in a bid to arrest him. The explorer must run from the demons chasing him and navigate the game’s endless tracks. There is no end to the running. You can run for as long as you want until you hit a large obstacle or fall into water.

During the run, you can control the player by swapping left or right to avoid obstacles. You can also make these movements to collect coins. You can jump over an obstacle by swapping up and can swipe down to slide under obstacles. There are blue, red, and gold coins in the game, which have different effects. A gold coin adds one coin to your coin basket. A red coin adds two coins. A blue coin adds three coins to the basket. You can use the coins to upgrade power-ups and unlock more game features. If you exhaust your coins, you can get more through in-app purchases.

Power-Ups And Additional Features For Better Experience

Playing the game is no easy as you may think. Successful running comes with moving across bends and obstacles that slow you down for demons to catch up. However, the developers did leave you to it. There are some power-up features you can use to improve your performance. For instance, you can spend the coins you collect while running in the store to unlock new characters and utilities. Power-ups also help you run better and evade obstacles while also collecting more coins. Essentially, coins and power-ups can help you boost your chances of lasting in the game.

A Ton of Interesting Features Without Paying A Dime

Even without paying  However, the game has an in-app purchases feature that allows you to buy more coins without playing the game. This feature is optional, though, as you may choose not to spend since you will collect coins during the game to unlock features. You can play on your terms, and you are not forced to buy anything. Unless you want to speed things up with in-app purchases, the game offers a completely unrestricted play. It will be a good choice for people who are not interested in using their money for upgrades. Perhaps this is why many people love the game even. It is free and largely unrestricted.

Boosting Concentration And Responsiveness

You may think the game does not have psychological benefits, but you’re mistaken. I did not know this until I played the game. And after playing even, it was obvious that the game has positively impacted my brain. Come to think of it. The game requires you to run from demons behind you while moving through bends and other obstacles. I do not want to lose, so I need to focus. And to do this, you must concentrate on the player running and the obstacles in the front. You have to move your eyes and work with your brain as you do this. You have to be fast, quick, and responsive; otherwise, you will not last. You have to play this game to grasp what I am talking about fully.

Addictive Play For Long Hours

There is no doubt the game is addictive. Although it is true, the adventure is not as elaborate as you may thing. But there is a high chance of loving it due to the attachment between you and the player. The game builds some connection that will make you view yourself as the player. That way, you are deep into the game that you play with so much passion and attentiveness. Without a doubt, you will enjoy playing the game for long hours. It is an interesting game you can use to pass the time anytime.

Continuous Push To Get Better

Temple Run 2 may not be easy, but it does not mean you cannot progress. And interestingly, the game focuses more on how far you can run. This makes you feel motivated before every run. I want to do better. So I need to be more focused and responsive in overcoming bends and obstacles. The game can inspire you to do better, and that also translates to the self-motivation you need for real-life challenges.
