Just Dance 2021 is a dance game Ubisoft developed and published. The dance rhythm game is the twelfth chapter of the Just Dance series and was unveiled on August 26, 2020, during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Web presentation. Its release came on November 12, 2020, and immediately became playable on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia. By November 24, 2020, it was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to reports, Just Dance 2021 is the first chapter of the series that was not announced at E3 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Just Dance 2021 is succeeded by Just Dance 2022. 

The game has both single-player and multiplayer modes that sum up its individual and group experience. You can have up to 6 players in the multiplayer mode. The game supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Russian, Portuguese, and Chinese. 

The Game Play

The idea behind the game is for the player to start a dance party the player himself or with their friends and family can enjoy and have fun. Just like the previous chapters of the series, Just Dance 2021 follows the same pattern of gameplay. The player has to mimic the on-screen dancer’s movements to a particular song. This simulation can be done by using the motion controllers in the game or the smartphone app associated with the game. The player can choose by considering the control format they are comfortable with. 

Just Dance 2021’s user interface and attached features are similar to the 2019 and 2020 versions. However, there are some modifications to the new Just Dance franchise. For instance, in the World Dance Floor, there is now a 3-song dance tournament. This ties a player’s level with competitors with a similar level to avoid an imbalance in the competitiveness of the tournament. Also, the 2021 version has a new and improved scoring system that records the ranks from the highest to the lowest after dancing to each available song. This is expected to boost players’ concentration and incentive to improve their skills. Additionally, the game comes with a “Quick Play Mode.” In this mode, the game randomly picks a song for the player to dance to, with the player not having to waste time or struggle with choosing a song. 

The Co-op mode features the chance to team up with other players to merge scores and dominate the dance floor. There is also the “Kids Mode,” which is tailored to give kids a great dance experience. In addition, you can use the on-demand subscription service to enable “Just Dance Unlimited,” a feature that will provide you with access to over 500 songs with more songs added every month.

Easy Navigations With No Fuss 

Contrary to what many people think about a dance video game, Just Dance 2021 comes with stress-free navigations. The controls are simple. This is one of the features that make the game enjoyable. You do not require any additional accessories to navigate your dance moves as you mimic the on-screen dancer: no Kinect, camera, or PS Move. Instead, you can easily use your smartphone to operate the in-game features, track and score your moves. 

For Those Who Don’t Go Out For Exercise

You can find one of the best exercise routines in the game. There is a “Sweat Mode” that combines fun and physical exertion in one place. In this mode, you can begin your own exercise routine. As you spend time dancing, you can track the calories you burn and the time spent. I see this mode as an alternative for those who do not want to run down the park. You can also grind in your room, sweat, and make some good time out of dancing. 

Going For The Unlimited Fun

Over 500 songs with updates every month! This is one of the coolest ideas of the game. I bet you would enjoy the game to the point that you opt for the subscription streaming service. I did enjoy the free one-month access after getting the game. But that did not satisfy my thirst for more as I ended up going for the unlimited fun. With my favorite songs playing, my pastime just got better and more fun. 

Co-op And Teamwork Practice 

You can never get bored playing this game. It brings together friends for a great playtime. The co-op mode lets you connect with friends and other players. This is the first game I mention whenever my friends come to visit. We love the idea of combining scores and experiencing the fun of dancing to maintain our highest score. This can be a good teamwork practice. 

For Kids And Family Experience

Just Dance 2021 has eight new kid-friendly songs. Families can enjoy these choreographies with their kids. I find the game to be an excellent way to strengthen the bond and connection between families. And the fun never ends with Just Dance 2021.
