As a lover of interstellar games, I was very excited about the release of Jett: The Far Shore. Thankfully, I was not disappointed as Superbrothers, and Pine Scented succeeded in creating a game that kept me interested right from the start. Jett: The Far Shore is available for purchase on Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. The game was released on October 17th, 2021, and has managed to capture the attention of gamers and critics in such an amazing manner. 

Joining Mei in an Unforgettable Interstellar Adventure 

Jett: The Far Shore follows the adventures of a young scout Mei, who suddenly wakes up from a century-old hypersleep. She finds out that her home, what’s left of it rather, was no longer conducive. She needs to find a new home on a new planet.  Mei and some other scouts embark on a journey to an alien planet, intending to capture the planet and make it inhabitable for their people. While scouting the planet, they began to hear a mysterious sound called the ‘hymnwave.’ 

After learning the mythical item that holds all the answers to the deepest questions, they are determined to hold on to the planet. The mythical item has been searched by many for centuries. The item is supposedly located on this ocean planet, making it the perfect new home. On the new planet, there are so many things to do. Many more secrets to be uncovered. I found the beautiful planet Jett fascinating in many ways, with its mysteries and uniqueness at the forefront. 

This single-player adventure game drives you through an exploratory journey where you experience all sorts of emotions. You get to experience the feeling of being alone in a land far away from home. You will also experience the feeling of basking in nature as you explore the different geographical locations on the planet. The unknown dangers and dreads help you experience survival in its raw form as you avoid attacks and confrontations with the unknown. 

Exploring The Ocean Planet From The Spaceship

The space ship Mei uses has three major tools, which are the flashlight, grappling hook, and scanner. The tools are used to help Mei understand the planet better. Mei’s major aim is to study the wildlife and their reactions to strangers. The jet has a resonator tool that you can use to scan your surroundings. You can get information regarding the different components of the planet. Exploring the planet from the jet is so much fun as you get to enjoy the view of the beautiful scenery. 

Interactive Gameplay and Beautiful Graphics 

Jett: The Far Shore has an immersive atmosphere with beautiful graphics and art design. It has an in-depth storyline with engaging dialogue sequences. You can solve puzzles by collecting items and combining them to create something new (e.g., combining two stones to make a hammer). It also features an AI system that learns from your decisions and adapts accordingly.

When playing the game, you do not need any combat skills since your goal is to observe and not destroy. Instead of fighting attackers, you could either avoid or escape unwanted attention. Jett: The Far Shore is not too difficult, and it gives you a chance to observe and interact with the environment. You can also perform different experiments through the given puzzles throughout your adventure on the planet. 

Jett: The Far Shore is a futuristic racing game in outer space and focuses on high-speed racing. The game is set in a post-world war era where the people are haunted by their once beautiful world. Your main objective in this game is to bring peace to the world by finding a new home away from disturbing memories and oblivion. You can achieve your mission by solving puzzles or exploring the environment.

Discovering the Wonders of the Ocean Planet 

You can never get bored while exploring the planet since you don’t run out of things to do or places to visit. Although the game’s plot depicts a lonely world despite the presence of other scouts, it’s not a boring one. You can explore the deep oceans and the high mountains, which always seem like they call out to you. The forests are also part of the natural wonders that you can’t get enough of. The variety of flora and fauna available on the planet is sure to keep you busy as you explore and experiment. There are also many landmarks that make each area unique and beautiful in its way. 

The peaceful and beautiful planet truly feels like the perfect home, especially for a race that has known only fear and destruction. The area’s outstanding beauty makes the loneliness bearable, and the adventurous activities and engaging puzzles ignore the game’s lack of action. 

Well Organized Soundtracks That Soothes All Occasions 

Jett: The Far Shore has an exceptional soundtrack, which was specially performed by some popular orchestras. The music, combined with the beautiful graphics, is what gives life to the game. It provides a soothing atmosphere as you explore or engage in the different puzzles. The game’s soundtracks feature a variety of genres which could be a soft melody or a fast action-themed song played when there is a lurking danger or a reason to celebrate after achieving victory in some tasks or missions.

Jett: The Far Shore is a game about survival and exploration. There is no combat, and death is near-instant to get your attention and keep you on your toes. However, the game has fascinating gameplay that makes you forget all about combat. Jett: The Far Shore is a good game for players who love solving puzzles and discovering new worlds.
