Ride 4 is a motorcycle racing simulation game with realistic graphics and gameplay. The game was published and developed by Milestone Studios on 8th October 2020. It is available on different platforms, including PS 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Steam.

So Many Locations to Explore

Ride 4 is a motorcycle racing game set in various locations around the world. The game has realistic levels of detail and includes preset challenges for experienced players. Players can customize their bikes and rider to fit their style of play.

Not Fully Connected to its Prequels

Although Ride 4 is the 4th game in the series, new players won’t have to bother about missing out on the storyline or character build. The four games aren’t linked to each other, which means you can play Ride 4 before playing Ride 2 without getting confused. I had played only the first and second games in the series, but I felt right at home playing Ride 4.

Over 30 Real Life Inspired Tracks

The game has a variety of tracks that you can race on, from small to full-on racing courses. Ride 4 features over 30 tracks and 170 high-quality models. The newest tracks in the game include Mugello, Laguna Seca, and the Nürburgring. Dynamic weather and night races make each track have multiple variables requiring strategic adjustment. Unlike the other games in the series, this fourth installation features a day/night cycle that makes the game more realistic and extremely engaging. All the models were carefully crafted with some of the best 3D technology.

You will find nearly 200 motorcycle brands in the game from real-life models. Almost 20 popular motorcycle models include Yamaha, Vyrus, Triumph, TM, Tamburrini Massimo, Suzuki, Suter, Paton, and Agusta MV. Each model was built to perfection, to look exactly like the real models.

Multiple Game Modes

The many game modes in Ride 4 make the gameplay quite enjoyable, as players get to choose from various playing styles. The career mode is my favorite game mode because it helps me progress and improve after every race. I learn from my mistakes while learning new skills and control every day.

Advancing in Ride 4’s Career Mode

You play as a rookie driver in the career mode, proving your skills in various competitions. In this mode, you will start in either an American, Asian, or European league, consisting of multiple events that include races, time attacks, and overtaking challenges.

The player must first acquire a motorcycle and license to compete in races. After acquiring a motorcycle, the player can adjust its suspension, transmission, and calibrations. Some riding aids are sometimes disabled in career mode to make the race more difficult. If you want to win competitions, you must improve your riding skills and your bike’s general performance. For instance, the continuous riding of a bike can improve its performance, and selecting the right tires for the terrain enhances performance even further.

Playing Single Races in Ride 4

The single race game mode is perfect for people playing the game for the first time or those who intend to sharpen their riding skills to advance in other game modes. In Single races, you can race on different tracks with different weather conditions.

Impressive Rewards System

Earning rewards (Credits, Experience Points, Model Affinity Points, and Manufacturer Affinity Points) helps prove your status in the game, allowing you to upgrade different things and also helping you to advance in your career. These rewards will also help you build a strong relationship with the publishers. Once a strong relationship is built, the player can become an official tester for the game.

Ride 4 can be enjoyed by both amateur and professional cyclists of all experience and skill levels. People who have never ridden a bike or played any racing game in the past could also love it due to its straightforward and compelling gameplay.

Different Upgrades to Keep your Bike Sharp

Bike tuning is possible, with components such as engines, brakes, suspension, and chains to be upgraded. For instance, players have the option to buy street or slick tires. Different styles of exhausts and rims are available for purchase, and mirrors, plates, and indicators can all be removed from bikes.

The rider’s style can be changed by riding gear and brake leg out. Everything from the rider’s helmet, visor, gloves, suit, boots, and knee sliders can be customized. Headgear customization is also available for riders of all levels.

Realistic Game Design

Ride 4 is one of the most realistic games I’ve ever played. This stunning motorcycle racing game looks so real that I thought I saw a real motorcycle on a real racing track. Everything about the game’s visuals is beautiful. The game has been praised for its graphical quality and online multiplayer functionality. The game’s graphics and gameplay are unmatched, and everything about the design looks so realistic, with reflective drops of water on your screen when it’s raining and an almost palpable weight to the bike and rider.

There is extensive customization of rider appearance and bike setup and endless editor opportunities for players who want to get creative. You are free to customize the game as you wish while enjoying the sight of the game’s graphics and visuals.

Tough Controls

The game has no explanation of its mechanics or underlying systems, making it difficult for beginners to control their bikes. The controls are complex and more difficult for gamers, but those who invest in learning them become skilled riders and even top on the leaderboard. Thankfully, Ride 4 offers a tutorial level at the beginning of the game, making it easier for new players to cope.

Conclusion

Ride 4 is a challenging racer that may drive you up the wall at times, but it’s so rewarding when you finally tame the bikes in your garage and start being able to compete truly. The game could be difficult for beginners but offers massive rewards for those who persist. If you love bikes or realistic racing games, Ride 4 is a must-have game.
