in a world of disastrous calamities and hideous monsters, everything has gone wrong, and all the heroes have gone missing. The fate of the world lies in the hands of Nobody. Thankfully, you’re Nobody, a feeble young lad armed with the wand of Nostramagus, the great magician. Do you think you’re up to the task? Let’s find out. Nobody Saves the World is an action-adventure game from Drinkbox Studios. The dungeon crawling game is available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Series X/S platforms and was released on January 18, 2022. If you’re a fan of action role-playing games, you’ll most likely enjoy this one.

Stopping Randy’s Evil Plots

Before Nostramagus’ disappearance, Randy the Rad was his apprentice, a bit over-ambitious. When the magician disappeared, he hoped to take ownership of Nostramagus’ wand, save the world, and take all the glory. Unfortunately for Randy, Nobody had the wand and the power to save the world.

Of course, Randy couldn’t just sit and watch Nobody take all the glory. He needed to sabotage Nobody’s efforts in a bid to steal the wand. While playing the game, you should expect many obstacles from randy, who wants what you have. While I loved to discover and stop Randy’s evil plans, the highlight for me is the amusing ways that Drinkbox Studios use to make sure Randy’s plans backfire.

Transform into Different Crazy Form

Since Nobody Saves the World contains many magical elements, I naturally expected my character to change forms. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed. I was impressed by the incredible forms to transform my character. I must appreciate the creativity the designers put into each form and the variety. I could transform Nobody into a tiny rat to navigate the smallest spaces or transform into a zombie or a necromancer. Sometimes I change my character into a huge bodybuilder with additional strength and might.

There are 15 transformable characters in Nobody Saves the World. Each character has a unique style, skills, and abilities. They are helpful in different scenarios and own different weapons. For instance, the rat has sharp teeth and a tiny body to fit into any space. The horse could attack enemies from behind with its hinge leg kick. The ranger possesses a bow and arrow that can kill monsters from a distance, and the bodybuilder has a crazy but incredible barbell push.

Progressive Combat System

My first impression of Nobody Saves the World was that the game was too easy. Enemies’ moves were evident, and the slightest attacks defeated them. As the game progressed, the combat became more interesting as I developed new skills and the enemies become tougher to defeat. As I unlocked new forms and upgraded my characters,

I got hooked to the game and its increasing challenges. When I first started using the Knight, he had a sword to slash enemies. All I had to do was simply hold the A button until all the enemies at sight were dead. I didn’t like the combat because it didn’t produce exciting action. As I leveled up, however, the knight got more skills, and the enemies learned to attack more skillfully. I could use my character to stomp enemies on the floor while blocking enemies trying to attack me. I also unlocked the counter-attack skill, which was engaging and exciting.

Your Skills Gets Even More Interesting As You Progress

While the combat system progresses and becomes more enjoyable after each level, things were sure to have gotten boring after playing for a while. Drinkbox Studios, however, ensured that this wasn’t the case, as they made it possible for players to mutate forms, abilities, and props. In Nobody Saves the World, you can unlock different forms’ abilities and mix them with other forms’ abilities.

For instance, you can pick up the gallop ability from the horse form and add it to the knight’s abilities to make him run faster or crash into enemies. You can also add the knight’s shielding abilities to the ranger’s ability to the ranger’s skills as a form of defense against closer enemies. However, you should note that not everything about a form can be mutated. Each form has a unique stat, speed, and attack style. These styles are what truly sets them apart from each other.

When you unlock a new form and its skills and tools in Nobody Saves the World, you automatically unlock possible mutated abilities for your other forms. There are also many interesting synergies you could use to make your character deadlier and more powerful. While these combos are always fun to create, you must learn to mix them properly to help you win the most challenging battles.

So Many Exciting Side Quests

What I love the most about Nobody Saves the World is that I never run out of exciting things to do. I could explore the dungeons one minute and move on to the demi-dungeons the next. If I get bored of these quests, there are many side quests to keep me occupied. My favorite side quest is the hunt for the flasks. I could go out to look for mana juice flasks to upgrade my mana pool.

Other side quests I love include communicating with a horse to find out some information, working under thieves guild and breaking business rules, playing mini-games, and destroying countless dummies. Although these side quests are basic with straightforward missions, they are pretty interesting and break me from continuously fighting monsters in the overworld and dungeons.

Conclusion

If you are a fan of adventurous games with many combat settings, Nobody Saves the World may be perfect for you. Though it has its flaws and technical issues, UT is a game that is sure to capture your interest and keep you locked to your screen. As you play the game, you will find out that each character requires a different playing style, but you don’t have to worry about it because you will get to understand each character after a while.
