There is something about racing; it brings back childhood memories, sweet and fond memories. That’s what draws me to racing games. The ‘Jungle’ in Rayman Jungle Run gives me just the amount of adventure I need for an exhilarating experience. Rayman Jungle Run is a mobile game based on the video game Rayman Origins. Rayman Jungle Run was developed by Pastagames and released for iOS, and Android in 2012 and for Windows Phone 8 on 29th May 2013.
Although Rayman Jungle Run has been long in the market, the game always feels new each time I play it. I’ve played this game multiple times, but I find it challenging and engaging every time. The frustrations are sometimes unavoidable, but you’ll get over them once the excitement takes over
A New Experience For Every Level
Pastagames made many exciting changes in Rayman Jungle Run, making it more fun to play. Unlike Rayman Origins. Rayman runs on autopilot in this game, allowing you to focus on other things like Rayman’s jumps and other moves.
Rayman Jungle Run is unlike the typical mobile endless running games, as it features many fun worlds. It has four worlds, and Rayman runs in the game with the mission to complete these four worlds, and each world is a different adventure. Rayman Jungle Run has 44 levels, achievements, unlockable art, and online leaderboards that provide an Adventurous experience.
Exploring Rayman’s Special Powers and Abilities
Rayman has powers and abilities that are unlocked in each world, and each world comes with new challenges more formidable than the last. So let’s start from the beginning.
The First World: Jump
You begin the game with standard jumps and moves, mainly the first five sets of levels, this is to get the player comfortable, and the system introduces you to different moves as you advance. There are four major abilities throughout the game, and one is unlocked in each world.
The second world: Fly/Hover
In the second world, you would be able to hover in the air. The character Rayman cannot fly; however, in the second world, he gains the ability to hover in the air during jumps, allowing him to cover more ground and distance.
The Third World: Wall-run
As the name implies, in the third world, Rayman gains the ability to run up walls and along ceilings. I found the routine quite exciting as I was already getting bored of jumping and crawling.
The Fourth World – Land of the Dead: Punching
Rayman gains his final ability in the fourth world, the land of the dead. This ability is called punching. He can use this ability to break down wooden barriers, trigger switches that toggle platforms or spiked balls, and he can also use his punching to kill enemies that are trying to kill him. It is more exciting than it sounds.
The Tooth of the Dead and Lums
Since Rayman jungle run is not an endless racing game, you should expect lots of new and exciting adventures at each stage. There are different stages, and each has a defined goal. Once you have completed a stage, the next phase begins immediately. In each stage, a player is required to collect all the “Lums” these lums are coins in the game, and when all the Lums are collected in a level, the player gets a red ruby.
For each ruby, you get a single tooth of the dead. To master a level, the player needs to finish the level perfectly. You will have to collect all Lums in that level and make perfect jumps. I love mastering the levels because each mastered level means one more tooth for me. You can use the teeth to fill Mr. Death’s mouth. Once filled, you’ll then unlock the land of the dead.
‘Perfect’ is Kind of Important
It is impossible to unlock this phase without perfecting every level in the game. This implies that players would have to repeat a level repeatedly until they achieve a perfect level. It may sound frustrating, and trust me, it can be, especially when you just miss a single Lum and you would have to restart. But the satisfaction comes when you finally complete the level, and somehow, this keeps you stuck to the game.
Besides collecting individual Lums, there’s something called skull coins, and a single Skull Coin is worth 20 Lums, so you need to keep an eye for these Skull Coins. It might make the gameplay easier when you find it challenging to complete a level.
The Fun of Fearlessly Running in the Wild
The excitement and adrenaline of a run make Rayman Jungle Run so thrilling. The feeling of success or failure is priceless, and nothing feels better than finally making a perfect run. With each level I completed, I couldn’t wait to move on to the next as I knew that something even more exhilarating lay ahead. Each stage has a new experience that is by far better than the previous stage.
I enjoyed Jump – the first world – was enjoyable, but I felt that Pastagames could do better. It felt like an endless racing game where you keep repeating the same scenery for hours. The next world featured more views, and I knew I was up for an exciting and adventurous experience. Thankfully, Rayman Jungle Run didn’t disappoint.
Conclusion
Rayman jungle game is an exciting game with a beautiful, smooth, and silky experience. Everything about the game was fun. The four worlds, the concept of Mr. Death, and the comic graphics make me feel like playing the game all over again. Although it can sometimes be frustrating, Rayman Jungle Run has proven to be an immersive game any racing gamer would appreciate.
