Ultimate Pirates is a recent addition to Gameforge’s growing list of MMO games. Developed jointly by Moonmana and Graft, this art-styled strategy RPG game takes you on a journey through many seas. It is replete with PvP and PvE battles right on top of the deepest waters. Players have to build an army of fleets, loot gold and other treasures, and grind their enemies underneath their boots.

This free-to-play browser game is all about strategy, analyzing your foes’ next step, and taking a step ahead. The role-playing element has you taking up the role of a brave pirate ready to vanquish any opponent on the way and loot all there is to steal away. Once you set on a journey to become the most respected ship captain, there’s nothing stopping you.

Caribbean Islands Full of Treasure

The game is set in the Caribbean islands surrounded by stormy seas and treasure-rich mountains. The Blackbeard and his crew of pirates have plundered thousands of ships, but there’s no stopping. They’ve fought endless battles, not just with their enemies, but with monstrous sea creatures.

Gameplay

The game also allows you forge alliances with other pirates to journey to different locations, wage war together, and divide the treasures looted. Real players are not the only characters you can battle, there is a sea of non-player characters (NPC) you can pit yourself against, human or creature. So prepare yourself for a tough challenge with battle-hungry creatures whose existence you must quell.

Ultimate Pirates offers you more than just ‘battle, win, and loot.’ It gives you a chance to build an intimidating empire that feeds off the sea. Partake in the exhilarating but delightful experience of building an island with ports, road networks, and large buildings. Recruit pirates alike, gather resources, and redeploy the same for more conquests and raids.

Building a base is one of the most important aspects of the game. There are several quests lined up to move your island from one level to another. Completing these quests gets you some rewards and ushers in new goals.  These goals require resources to complete, and that underscores the importance of gathering as much as you can.

In Ultimate Pirates, iron is the scarcest resource, and you need it to fashion weapons and armors. Next to iron are gold and lumber, although the latter isn’t very hard to find. You’ll also need food on your pirate island that you can get by farming and hunting sea animals. The resource management, therefore, is a crucial test of the player’s dexterity at strategy.

While your pirate island starts as one small location, you can build it to become a massive empire. With enough resources, you can erect new buildings and move them around to make the best use of space. Depending on your island can offer enough, but that offers little fun. Get on the exasperating experience of battling NPCs for resources. For even more adventure, launch on a conquest to plunder resources from other players.

Your Victory is in Your Ship

When you sail out for a raid, the outcome is automatically decided. That is all the game dynamics permit. At the end of the day, how “loaded” your ship is will determine how much you come back with. It’s one thing to have the best strategy; it’s another thing to have the best ships – and the latter is more important.

In Ultimate Pirates, you can build different types of ships, each with strengths and weaknesses. Load your ships with powerful weapons to enhance their overall battle statistics. The game allows the crafting of various kinds of equipment on the island. Although the game limits the number of tools you can load into a ship, so storing only the best will give you an advantage.

While you go out plundering others, your island stays at risk. It’s crucial, therefore, to protect your empire while you’re away. To that effect, you can spend some rubies on purchasing ‘Kingdom Protection,’ which keeps your island safe from raids for a period. The downside to that is you have to spend some real cash in getting those in-game rubies.

Ultimate Pirates may seem like a typical MMO strategy game, but it comes with some uniqueness. You have an empire to build, with a great deal of resource management to handle. With tons of PvE and PvP activities, you have plenty of ways to gather resources. Fight players in real-time, NPCs, and notorious scallywags. You get to build the grandest and most loaded ships in the world, raid other pirates, and build mountainous spoils of war.
