Echo of Soul, EOS, is a free MMORPG for PC. Korean game developer Nivius developed this 3D fast action MMORPG. In 2015, it was published in the West, NA, EU and the CIS states, by Aeria Games. Not long after its launch in South Korea, the game had to be shut down in South Korea and was relaunched by a different publisher, Kakoa Games.
Despite its rocky start, this game has gained full acceptance and recognition. In 2014, barely a year after its launch, the game won the Thailand Game Show Festival’s award for Best MMORPG. Echo of Soul packs a vast gaming world with over 1600 missions. You certainly can’t run out of activities. in 2018 the game got a massive update, new graphics, server, characters and more.
After a battle between gods and giants, the gods killed Ymir – the leader of the Giant nation. Upon his death, Ymir’s blood began to flow towards the great Tree, which was the source of all life. The gods tried to stop Ymir’s blood from poisoning all of life but were unable to. Following their failure, the gods have appointed you to be the Soulkeeper charged with the job of a guardian against the evil brought into the world by Ymir.
As a Soulkeeper, your job is to rid the world of evil. As a player, you take control of a customizable character with whom you can harvest your enemies’ souls after you’ve murdered them. It is with their souls that you customize your character.
This game offers players a very competitive world packed with activities, adventures, and quests. The game has over a thousand six hundred missions and over 60 maps and a couple of solo and party dungeons for players to explore. You can enjoy the game with the PvE and the PvP modes. In the PvE mode, players get to explore dungeons, go on raids, take on fauna and flora found these dungeons. The PvE can be played either as a solo player or with other players. The PvP is exceptionally competitive. Players are pit against each other in pairs of 5 and 15; guilds are also pitted against one another. This mode is only available to players who have gotten to level 10. The merit of this is that neophytes can begin enjoying the benefits of the PvP mode early on.
Lovers of fast-paced action player versus player games would enjoy playing Echo of Soul’s PvP mode. My favorite thing to do is create a guild with which I battle other guilds in a guild war on unique battlegrounds.
As a Soul keeper, you get to harvest the souls of opponents who have fallen. When you kill an evil monster, you have to purify such an impure soul. This cleansing can be done with the use of the Soul Sanctums. Once it has been cleansed, the soul becomes an energy source and can be used to further customize your character.
The combat style of the Echo of Soul deviates a little from the conventional MMORPG style. Unlike most other MMORPGs, the Echo of the soul does not have a designated healer. The team is laced with the responsibility of healing, while the players can decide to either tank or DPS depending on the most viable option, strategically.
You are sure going to have fun while customizing your character. Harvested souls give you more power and abilities, but they also enhance the character’s features. Your character’s abilities and fighting style are all determined by the class and specialization of the character.
