4Story, published by Gameforge on PC, is an MMORPG dipped in fantasy. The game has two major factions – Craxian and Defugel – warring for control of the land of Iveria. With exciting quests and enough PvP options, players are in for an enthralling experience. When you get tired of any side, the neutral nation of Broa is there waiting. As a Broa member, you can take up the cloak of a mercenary and help either side.

The world of Iveria is splint into different zones. These zones host daily for dominance. In 4Story, the PvP options give you some unbeatable duels and large-scale battles with up to 100 players.

Pledge Your Allegiance and Give Your All

Your first task is picking a side. Then you have quests popping up. These initial quests are pretty easy, and you shouldn’t have any problem completing them. Beyond the points you get, they help you learn the very basics of navigation, skills, and combats.

After completing the first few tasks, the world of Ivera comes to life. There’re more tasks to fulfill, in different parts of the city. The full array of skills can be perplexing at times, but they do have incredible advantages. While other games systematically unlock the player’s skills as the game progresses, 4Story gives you all right from the start. However, these skills are fundamental, and you can improve them with points.

4Story has the auto-path feature that allows players to cut down on time spent on each level. With this feature activated, players can move quickly to the next point on the questline. Level 9 presents the player with a game-changing opportunity to choose a faction – Craxian or Defugel. The side you join will determine your path throughout the game. That includes the point you start from on the map and the kind of quests you get to carry out.

While you can stay loyal to a particular kingdom for the rest of the gameplay, Level 80 comes with a chance to switch allegiance. Take up the offer and join the neutral sect of Broa as a mercenary.

A World of Exciting Quests and Warfare

The game’s storyline finds revelation in the string of quests that never seem to end. As you move from one hub to another, you unwrap more of the intriguing story. Besides unraveling the storyline, you get more pieces of equipment as you complete quests. This equipment, in turn, becomes invaluable in warfare.

As part of warfare dynamics, 4Story has an innovative feature that lets you temporarily dress as an enemy. Put up their costumes and pick up quests originally meant for them. While you can easily deceive the bots handling out the quests, you’ll need a miracle to escape the sights of another player. So, when you go out on a mission of decision, expect an attack as soon as someone spots your deception.

Besides the entertaining quests, the PvP options also make 4Story an addictive game. There are one-on-one duels, Dragon Invasion, Aerial Wars, Battle of Worlds, and Ground Territorial wars. These modes come with a special thrill with unique features likely to make them than mar them. You could borrow a leaf from me and explore the PvP games one after the other. The only thing that beats a potential experience is an actual experience.

The one-on-one fights pit you with another player in a battle to the death. You either give the deadly blow or receive one. Aerial wars, for me, provides more fun and entertainment than one-on-one duels. There are two teams (offensive and defensive), each with a leader with unimaginable powers. One team has to kill the guardians and leader of the opposing them to wear the victory crown. While the defensive team stays within a fortress, the offensive team tries to break into it. Participating in aerial wars earns you some game points and resources.

Another interesting PvP game is Territorial Wars, which involves joining a guild of warriors. The task is simple – clinch more territories for your kingdom. But it’s not as easy as it sounds because other teams are looking to do the same. The Battle Ground mode takes it to another level, with groups of players fighting another group in a no-surrender encounter.

Dragon Invasion is a completely blood-pumping PvP battle. Players come together to war against dragon warriors. At the end of this strong opposition is the fearsome Monster-in-Chief. You’d earn almost a fortune defeating these monsters.  The most significant PvP encounter of the game is the Battle of Worlds. Sometimes, it’s 25 vs. 25 encounters. Other times, it’s 100 vs. 100.

Our Verdict

4Story does have some areas it could improve on, but in all, the game is pure and solid, with exciting PvP options that deserve a thumb-up. They offer you something new to play – regardless of how many times you come back to the 4Story.
