Hood: Outlaws And Legends was initially intended to build upon the game structure of Robin Hood, but it was later redesigned to be a Player-Versus-Player-Versus-Environment (PvPvE) game due to the developer’s interest in multiplayer featured games. On May 10, 2021, the publisher released Hood: Outlaws And Legends for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S. The reception has been great since its release. The creation of Hood: Outlaws And Legends was influenced by action-adventure games like Robin Hood, Resident Evil, and Hunt: Showdown. The game’s locations are inspired by Game of Thrones. 

Hood: Outlaws And Legends is a third-person action-filled adventure game. It portrays the life and journey of a character (and his team of players) in a setting where survival is a must. Although Hood: Outlaws And Legends reflects legendary games like the ones mentioned above, it expands the idea of adventure and style of play. Also, Hood: Outlaws And Legends is built without location restrictions as the game is not set in any known period. It, therefore, transcends the usual adventure game and offers a more elaborate view of a world of superheroes and outlaws.

Gameplay Of Hood: Outlaws And Legends

Hood: Outlaws And Legends offers an adventurous journey of a player, or an outlaw, in this case, to navigate through combats to infiltrate a dictator’s den. In Hood: Outlaws And Legends, the player takes the character of an outlaw whose mission is to break into the State, the castle of the dictator, and extract the treasure hidden in the vault. Hood: Outlaws And Legends gives the player the chance to choose a team of three other members who would embark on the journey with him. The gameplay has three phases, each of which has its mission objectives, enemies, and bosses. In addition, there are exciting features like AI and stealth that enhance the playing experience.

The characters in Hood: Outlaws And Legends possess different powers and weapons, this allows each to have a crucial part to play in the game’s progression. So the team members need to coordinate themselves and play as a team. For example, when the team acquires a treasure, they have to reach the extraction point by killing knights and the Sherriff. The vault location is randomly selected on the map. After each mission, the player can use the Scale of Justice to determine the sharing formula between them and the people.

Love The Stealth

As much as Hood: Outlaws And Legends brings to light a lot of action, the stealth feature is very lovable. Since the game accounts for two teams of eight players, you can find the stealth system really rewarding. I find it gratifying to use stealth most of the time as it saves me from unnecessary combats. Why struggle to fight when you can just manage to escape a situation without being noticed. It gets better with the reward that comes with the stealth system. Every action that I perform while in stealth increases my ability to gauge and makes my movement resistance-free.

Non-stop Gaming

Hood: Outlaws And Legends is addictive if you are in for non-stop action. The atmosphere is tensed, and you are always on your toes. You are either hiding from guards or fighting your way through. Wherever you find yourself, you can never be too safe. The experience is a thrilling one, and you can spend hours without even knowing it. Hood: Outlaws And Legends keeps your blood pumping and always ready to go. 

Real-Life Survival Experience 

Not all survival games offer a real-life survival experience. However, it is more than that with Hood: Outlaws And Legends. You are in for a treat if you ever attempt to let your guard down. The opposing team is rooting to kill your team at any given a chance, and you have to navigate through locations and avoid creating a scene with the guards. It can get scary if a guard notices you, and you have to battle all other forces coming your way. Think of yourself as a drug lord the police are chasing while your competitions are lurking around too.

Super Characters With Unique Abilities

One other thing you would undoubtedly love about Hood: Outlaws And Legends is the combination of characters. Like Robin Hood characters, the players have unique abilities that make them very important in the game. For instance, Little John is the only player that can open locked gates. Maid Marion is pretty good with a crossbow and smoke grenades. Tooke, in his power, can use a flail. So you need them all to enjoy the game, this is where teamwork comes in. It is super interesting when each team member knows their role. Call it synchronization or whatever, but the game flows well.

Group Adventure

For anyone looking for a multiplayer adventure game packed in an action-survival story, Hood: Outlaws And Legends is your best guess. You will enjoy playing with your friends and against them. The more, the merrier. Be careful, though; you might get frustrated with that friend that keeps putting the team in harm’s way. But generally, Hood: Outlaws And Legends is a great game to pass the time with friends. I usually host my friends after school. On weekends, it’s tough to choose between homework and Hood: Outlaws And Legends.
