If you’ve ever wondered about the inception of technology or how man lived without the comfort of high-tech, it might be time to journey to the Stone age — a period of human culture characterized by stone devices. I am not a time traveler; I don’t know about you, but Upjers have helped visualize the stone age with Stonies to give players insight into what being an early human is. You get to plant, hunt, feed, and eat virtually. Let’s delve into the captivating world of survival with Stonies.

Stonies is a fascinating survival-tailored simulation game playable on your browser, steam, iOS, and Android. Stonies gives the player a glaring visual view into the stone age with real-time experience. The player takes the role of a tribe leader with demigod superpowers as he leads his tribe through the thick and thin into an era of convenience. Even though the game interface might look a tad unfamiliar at first, you don’t have to search tutorial videos online, Upjers has got you. Stonies offers an excellently detailed tutorial about the game interface, leading new players into a stress-free and rich user experience. Patience is a virtue; although the tutorial is a bit lengthy, it is worth the time. Talking about User Interface and User Experience, player’s engagement is devoid of “what to” and “how-to” because Stonies is embedded with a clear sense of direction as the player navigates through the game.

Although the gameplay is slow-paced as the replenishment of resources is subject to time, Stonies has a linear and exciting storyline where you gather resources, feed your tribe, farm, devise inventories, and use them in multiple disparate events. As you advance in the story, more resources required for better living are made available for you. Each level features a task system that keeps players busy with diverse tasks as the player braces himself up for the next level of survival. Players can also watch themselves in the stone age as they play a pivotal role in the quest for survival and the search for comfort. Needless to remind you that technology is the father of convenience, Stonies allows you to become an “Albert Einstein” or “Michael Faraday” as you concoct materials to develop innovative arts.

The resources you gather are either meant for construction or feeding. In the stone age, early men survived by planting, hunting, fishing, and contriving tools. Consumed plants take time to regrow, also sowed seeds grow with time. This sense of timing gives the player a tone of anticipation as he looks forward to harvests and other activities.  To ensure your tribesmen don’t starve, you lead them to sow seeds, prune plants, hunt animals and collect materials for crafting spears, bows, arrows, knives, fishing rods, hoe, and other farming or mechanical equipment.

You might have tried out a couple of simulation games. Trust me, Stonies doesn’t belong to that coterie. Games are meant to keep players busy and mentally active; that’s what Stonies does. As a player, you will actively encounter a constant permutation of events that revolves around how strong and smart you have become in the course of the story. The elementary levels are relatively easier, and survival is based on basic resources compared to higher levels where you need as much as a barn during a famine. In essence, your survival in the tougher stages depends on how well you have harnessed the available resources.

Stonies’ visuals are on a par with the best as it delivers an immersive graphics with realistic animation of the survivors and the artistic design of the landscape. Awesome details and vibrant color scheme is capable of enticing player into its world of artistic creation. Stonies is free to download and play for all. It also offers in-game purchases, although they aren’t necessary to enjoy the game.

We would not have been in billions on this planet if the early humans did not procreate, and Stonies doesn’t forget that. As you lead your tribesmen with survival skills through the jungle, you are equally responsible for procreation. Players can take a break from hunting or construction for some stone-age lovemaking. Players can marry wives and give birth and watch as young Stonies grow and become smarter. As a parent, carting resources to feed and expand your home is an increased responsibility as you also lead your tribe into a future that you envisage.

In the aspect of religion, you are a demigod, so you are bound to worship and make sacrifices to higher gods in your circle of worship. You and your community can build a shrine where rituals can be made, and festivals held. Also, you are burdened with the welfares of your tribesmen, and Stonies offers a feature to see each tribe man activities, engage them, and ensure that no individual is idle.

If you want a highly immersive and graphically appeasing free-to-play simulation game, look no further than Stonies. Have fun as you usher a community of primitive humans into the future and help build an empire from woods and stones.
