Origin Of Skatebird

Skatebird is a sport (Skateboarding) video game. An American studio, Glass Bottom Games, developed Skatebird. Skatebird was released in September 2021 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna. Skatebird is a sports game and has a single-player mode. The announcement of Skatebird came in November 2018 when the developers were still working on it. Funds were raised to complete Skatebird’s development, and the funding goal was completed on the same day. This is because a demo was launched to attract gamers during that time. By December 2019, Skatebird was announced to be available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One gaming platforms, with Skatebird’s major release date in view.

However, the developers announced that the release had been delayed in July 2020. This came because the development was taking longer than initially expected. Also, the developers decided to include a new story mode to Skatebird. Skatebird was set to be released on August 12, 2021, but was again delayed until its release on September 16, 2021. Skatebird creates bird-human interaction as it connects skateboarding adventure to a quest to bring smiles to human faces. Upon its release, Skatebird has gathered great reviews. The story modes are exciting, and every player can easily follow through the story without getting bored with the adventure.

The Gameplay Of Skatebird

The gameplay of Skatebird is very similar to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Skatebird is a skating video game that engages its players in movements and skills. In Skatebird, the player has to control a small bird that skateboards. This is a bit outside the generic skateboarding video games where the players control human players and skateboard with their controls. Like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, skateboarding in Skatebird takes a combination of skateboarding tricks, items collections, exploring, and completing tasks. Players in Skatebird can have a lot of fun performing tricks as long as they can handle the controls. There are several levels of play in Skatebird.

The graphic rendering in Skatebird is fascinating. For instance, you can skate with your bird in “bird-sized skateparks” represented in a house across objects like desktops items, pencils, erasers, etc. Skatebird brings to life a new kind of adventure. There are missions that you can explore. The controls are easy to handle, and you will have no trouble learning a few tricks yourself. You can glide on bendy straws, carve some killer lines, flip over staplers, and even cruise through sticky tape parks. Skatebird allows the player to connect with the gameplay. Interestingly, Skatebird further brings onboard great arcade music that could make your exploration more adventurous. The graphics, music, missions, and stories all contributed to the awesomeness of Skatebird.

Bird Adventure

Not many would think you can have so much adventure playing a skateboard video game, especially if you have to control a bird. Skatebird certainly proved everyone wrong with their bird-skater. You can never understate the element of adventure in Skatebird. You can play for hours without realizing you have missed your meals. Skatebird does not only connect the bird and the player but also allows the player to take complete control of the bird. The player controls everything that happens in the skateboarding experience. This simply gives room for flexibility and allows the player to be dynamic while playing. Interestingly, the adventure is not limited to the missions alone. You can explore and have a good time performing skills in parks.

Simple Play Idea

You do not always see a skateboarding video game with a simple gameplay plan. Skatebird already took skateboard video games out from the cliché human-player gaming format. Another thing this game does is to allow a lot of flexibility. You can quickly grasp the story idea and how to play it. I understood the game the very first time I started playing. There are no complex controls or difficult-to-understand stories. Everything falls in pretty good. Your adventure begins the moment you start playing. Its simplicity does not make it boring, as I later discovered. Skatebird is a skating video game you would want to spend every day with.

A Chance To Learn Some Skateboarding Skills

What if I told you Skatebird could develop your skateboarding skills in real life? That may sound too good to be true, but it’s the truth. It is typical for every video gamer to try out what they experience in their video games for sports and fighting games. Skatebird offers that chance to build your self-confidence for real-life skating. Of course, you may not be able to try all the skills you perform while playing. But it does help you boost your intentions to add some new skills to your arsenal. I believe every skateboarder would love Skatebird. Skatebird is so natural that you feel yourself in the game, running missions and exploring skate parks.

Fun And Straightforward Skateboard Game

Skatebird is super fun and straightforward to handle. There are no complicated controls, and you will have no problem whatsoever maneuvering through skate parks. Skatebird is very addictive, and you may never grow tired of playing. You will find several levels with interesting story modes that will keep you fascinated all through. The way Skatebird is played and how you cruise around skate parks collecting items can be a fun adventure. While you can skateboard outside in parks, Skatebird allows you to enjoy the same feel and vibe in the corners of your room.

Appealing Graphics

The skate parks in Skatebird are rendered in a very appealing way. It almost seems like you can skate on any object anywhere. It makes the game more fun to play. Skate parks are built in a way that makes the environment feel very natural.
